Quotes on Friendship

My boyfriend's father just passed. He wants to find Hindu sayings for a tattoo. Any help please?

My boyfriend was very close to his father but he does not know the Hindu language well enough to find a quote to tattoo on himself. He would like it in the Hindi language and something that would corelate to the strength, leadership, kindness, and friendship his father had with his son, family, friends, and others. If anyone knows of a book that may have Hindi sayings including the translations in English that would be great!!! Thank you!

1. he can get "PITHRU" or MERA PITHRU(my dad) which is a great respectable word in Hindi(Sanskrit) means Dad. or "MERA PITHRU-MAHAN", my Dad,-the greatest.. the actual quotation is "PITHRU DEVO BHAVA" means I respect Dad as equal to as God as he holds a second place that leads a child to God.
